Year 4 Works of Art!
On Thursday, Year 4 had a wonderful day at the Tate Britain as they visited the Steve McQueen Year 3 Exhibition. Steve McQueen invited every Year 3 pupil in London to have their photograph taken by a team of specially trained Tate photographers so we happily agreed to take part. 3,128 photographs make up the exhibition, with over 76,000 faces! Given the themes of diversity, uniqueness and community the children and adults were clearly inspired by the exhibition, which the Tate describes “a real glimpse of the capital’s future, a hopeful portrait of a generation to come.” If you are able to visit the exhibition, it is free and runs until 3 rd May. Ask the Year 4 staff or children for tips to locate the Strand photographs.
