Year 4 River Trip
This week Year 4 went to the river foreshore at Kew Bridge to learn about the Thames and the habitats of the animals who live there. The rain managed to hold off as the leader from the Thames Explorer Trust explained about the river including its mouth in Kent and the source of the river in the Cotswolds. The children reported that the best part of the day was after lunch at low tide when they went river dipping and caught Chinese mitten crabs, flounders, baby eels, leeches, sea snails and blood worms!
