Year 3 and Otter Guinness World Record Holders

On Wednesday, we were invited to take part in a times tables rock stars live session in an attempt to achieve a new Guinness World Record title for the most views of a rolling numbers livestream! Year 3 and Otter joined the broadcast live from a school in London and with video feeds from schools in Cardiff, County Tyrone and Glasgow. Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones taught us some dance moves to accompany the times tables and the Education minister even joined the livestream to show his support for our fabulous mathematicians. A Guinness World Record adjudicator informed us that we had indeed managed to break the previous record of 1500 people viewing a livestream to over 5000 people and we were very proud to receive class certificates as a record of this great achievement! Miss Smith and Mrs Ristic admitted that breaking a World Record was a lifetime ambition of theirs and they are now set on exploring if it is still possible to be awarded a Blue Peter badge!
