Year 3 and 4 Swimming Gala

The summer of sport kicked off this week with the Year 3 and 4 Gala. On a wet and windy day there was no better place to be than the water and the children all had fantastic fun! There was a packed race card with a multitude of events which tested swimmers’ aquatic skills to the max. There were fun races aplenty and the event culminated in the much anticipated relay where our elite swimmers from each team battled against each other in a frantic length swim of the pool. The winners were Red team with 140 points, Blue came second with 113, Green took a very close third place whilst Yellow finished in fourth with a creditable 107 points. Well done to Mr Allkins who ran events like clockwork – we even had time to finish with a fun splash for Year 4! The results will be added to those of the Year 5 and 6 gala to determine which team wins the swimming trophy to be announced on the last day of term.
