Year 3 and 4 Indoor Athletics

On Thursday Strand took part in the Year 3/4 indoor athletics tournament at Brentford Leisure Centre. 20 children were selected to represent Strand and compete against 46 other schools from across the borough. The children were split in to two teams with both achieving varying degrees of success. Strand 'Swans' won 2 of their 7 races and should have won a few more! Team 'Cygnet' finished 2nd in 3 of their races having great fun on the way. Events included 'tennis run', 'hockey dribble', 'basketball' and the obstacle course. A great experience of competition for all who took part. Well done!!
