Year 3 & 4 at the Borough Football Tournament

We took our Year 3/4 football team to Osterley yesterday for the Hounslow Borough Football tournament. It was a fantastic opportunity for our best players to play competitive sport against the elite of other Hounslow schools. The team played brilliantly with excellent shooting and scoring from Ilja and Felix. Super passing and running into space from Reni, Freddie and especially Lucy. In defence Finn, Beau and Daniel held firm with strong but fair tackling then good distribution up field. In goal Eli was resolute and brave, making plenty of saves and rushing off his line like a sweeper-keeper! The team played seven games and won four of them, drawing one and losing two. We scored a total of 11 goals and conceded 7. A very positive sign for things to come for the Strand senior team!
