This week vocal coach Ken Burton visited Strand and treated Year 6 and the choir to a stunning vocal workout. Ken, who has worked with competitors on the X Factor and is the best friend of Gareth Malone, warmed the children up with a vocal story before moving on to a traditional Cambodian call and response song, an invigorating gospel number and finishing with the children composing their own a capella song. The staff were enthused and Mrs Pryce and Mr Bonner have lots of ideas for the choirs next number and the Year 6 show. We are really looking forward to their next performance!
