TimeGivers Visit to St Mary’s Convent Nursing Home

Last Friday, TimeGivers and a group of Year 6 pupils visited the residents of St Mary’s Convent Nursing Home. The children joined the residents in a craft activity, thinking about what we are thankful for, and were treated to an afternoon tea of cakes and juice. They had some lovely chats, learning about the residents’ lives and sharing what school was like today. The consensus was the children were very lucky to attend such a great school. Mrs Day, who accompanied them, was so proud of the children who were, as ever, an asset to Strand. Thank you to Elian, Dylan, Kolka, Diego, Atousa, Aggy, Darcy, Juan, Emilia, Zarah, Isla, Maddie, Sophie and Reema for giving up their privilege time to give support others #SupportiveStrandites.
