Summer of Sport continues

Monday saw our busy calendar of sporting events continue with the Chiswick cluster qualifiers of the quad kids tournament. Quad kids is an athletics tournament that places athletes against the clock/tape rather than against each other. With 4 disciplines involving a sprint, a medium distance run, a long jump and a javelin style throw; it tests all-round ability. Josh, Alex K, Bailey and John represented the boys’ team and Iola, Suzie, Renee D and Tayla-Bella in the girls’ team. It was a hard fought event with some spectacular performances from both Strand athletes and from our rivals. We are pleased to say though, with the boys winning their tournament and the girls coming second, Strand have qualified for next terms finals at Osterley Sports centre! Well done to those involved - we look forward to hearing how you get on in the borough finals.
