Strandites Invited to Join the Houslow Brass Emsemble

Assembly was busy on Monday as we gave out certificates to the next tranche of brass players in Year 4 who have been invited to join the Hounlsow Brass Ensemble. Our brass players really are going from strength to strength as more and more children master making the trombone and horn sound tuneful. A huge thank you to families who have supported their children by practising at home and helping to transport the bulky instruments to and from school. We are keen for as many children as possible to continue brass next year – if you are interested in your child continuing please speak to Mr Thorne who will give you details of the lessons Mr Eastman provides. A special mention to Miss Crone who also got a certificate and an invite to join the ensemble as her playing had improved so much. We will be having a short concert at the end of term where parents will be able to see the ‘Strand Band’ perform. So, keep the morning of 26th June free - watch this space for more details…
