Strand Young Ambassadors Need Your Help

You may remember that our ‘Strand Young Ambassadors’ worked very hard last year on a food bank project which included raising awareness about families in need in our area and organising a donation point at the Summer Fair. We are continuing to work on the project and have organised another donation point. It is on Friday 12th October to fit in with Harvest Supper. The School Council representatives will be in the front playground from 8:40am with lots of empty crates ready to be filled! We will also be available to take donations from the Year 6 parents/carers who will be attending the soup event later in the evening. The following items are most needed:

• Anything that’s non-perishable
• Cereals, baby food, pasta, rice, sugar, milk, pudding (e.g. rice pudding or custard), tinned fruit and veg, pasta sauces, tinned tomatoes, tinned meat/fish, tea/coffee, biscuits
• Any toiletries like shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrush/paste, sanitary products and nappies (of all sizes).

We are grateful for your continued support. Remember that if you are unable to make a donation on Friday 12th October, there is a box permanently placed in reception where donations can be left.
