Strand Goes For World Record
On Tuesday Strand took 30 children to Dukes Meadows Tennis centre for a very special sporting event. Members of Year 3 and 4 joined 680 other children and adults attempting to break the Guinness world record for most people bouncing a tennis ball on their racquet. We will find out if the attempt was successful after it has been scrutinised by the officials involved! After the excitement of the record attempt, all children participated in a huge mixed doubles tennis tournament. Everyone had great fun showing off their skills with some of our children being singled out by local tennis coaches as having 'excellent potential'! A special mention goes out to Zak in 3N whose serve was considered to be 'better than Murray's'. Thank you to Ms Gilbert and Ms Mackowska for helping out with walking.
