Strand Achieves Silver School Games Mark

We are pleased to announce that Strand was awarded the Silver School Games Mark for Physical Education this week. The award is assessed on criteria such as how many children are active in PE for more than 2 hours a week, the number of opportunities children have to participate in extra-curricular clubs, the number of children that help out with the infant school on their sports days/lunch time clubs and also the tournaments that Strand compete in (and are successful in!) against other schools. The School Games Mark is identified by OFSTED as a sign of good practice and we are happy to have achieved the award for this year! You will see the silver school games mark on our letter head very soon!
