Staffing News

We have three new members of staff joining the Strand team in September. Charlotte Hiett, will be joining the team as an NQT having passed her School Direct training in 6N with flying colours. Charlotte is already well versed in the ways of Strand and has many talents to offer the team. Her netball skills were much needed during our staff match with Green Dragon, earlier in the year and her background in customer relations means her people skills are second to none! The next member of staff we have joining the team is Jessie Neil, who has already begun to get to know Strand by working in 5B for the last weeks of term. Jessie is originally from Australia and in true antipodean style has travelled extensively, teaching in Melbourne, Peterborough and Dubai before settling in Chiswick and working in schools across London. Jessie has a wealth of experience and has already received the thumbs up from the children in 5P with her cracking ‘blackout poetry’ lesson during interview. The final member of staff is Lucy Harris, an ex-Strandite who will be joining us as a School Direct trainee. Lucy has a degree in French and History and had been working as an education officer at the Imperial War Museum before making the change to education.
