Remembrance Day

Strand fell silent at 11am to join in with the national 2 minutes silence. The children were impeccably behaved and showed great respect. Thank you to Sam Eastmond, our trumpet teacher who played "The Last Post" in the playground for all to hear. The Remembrance event was made even more real for the children thanks to Mia C in year 4 who brought in her great grandfather’s and great aunt’s medals and memorabilia to share with the school. Thank you to everyone who bought a poppy, we raised the grand sum of £57.70.
