New Headteachers - Miss Cook and Miss Cook

Miss Cook and Miss Cook have taken over from Mrs Harrison as head for the day today. Luckily it was Mrs Jennings last day, as she is off on maternity leave, and so we got some delicious doughnuts!!! Millie and I got the teachers (Mrs Jennings, Mr Murray, Miss Cosstick and Miss Coggins) and 4 students (Joe, Evie, Lamar and Kiera) working their brains on a quiz during assembly to get ready for the start of the day. Much to everyone’s surprise the children one by a margin of 10 to 1 points. Alarmingly, the one question the teachers got right was naming the One Direction crew! Luckily the children got 15 minutes extra play for their cleverness. Next we met up with the new School Meals team to talk about the new kitchens. After that we went to have a tour around the school to check up on standards. We found quite a lot of coats on the floor in Year 4 and a health and safety issue in Year 6 which we reported to Mr Thorne. The work in the books was cracking and we had to give out 3 headteacher wrist bands to Caitlin, Nicole and Makaio. After preparing for Mrs Jennings lunch we had a rest before going off to a meeting at Cavendish School.
