Mr Eastmond Nominated for a Prestigious Ivor Award

We heard this week that Mr Eastmond, who currently teaches djembe to Year 4 and leads on our brass project, has been nominated for an Ivor for a jazz composition. The Ivors are just about the biggest awards in the business, akin to the Oscars. If you were lucky enough to see our musicians play at the Festival Hall earlier this year, you will remember Sam conducting the massed brass band and leading the Street Band in a great rendition of Ain't Nobody. Sam is an inspiration to the children so we’re immensely proud and lucky that he’s one of our teachers!
