Leavers' Assembly

We held the traditional leavers' assembly this morning to say farewell to Year 6 and our colleagues who are moving on. The most hotly anticipated part of the event is revealing the results of the Interhouse competitions which have taken place throughout the year. The Team Points Cup was presented to Yellow Team, who also won the Quiz Shield, Swimming Cup and the Sports Day Cup which meant that the much coveted Inter House Cup went to – wait for it - Yellow Team. Congratulations to everyone in Yellow Team. The Strand Special Award went to Safa Ahmed and Finn Chappel in recognition of the way they exhibit all the qualities we expect in a Strandite. The Buj Wretham Sporting Trophy was presented by Mr Wretham himself to Suzie Parkin, Lily Vos and Alex Goldsmith for both their sporting skill and their outstanding sportsmanship. We also said goodbye to Gemma Kitson and Isha Mehmet both moving on to pastures new.
