Just One Tree

Thank you to everyone for wearing their green today! Our Green Day was in support of a fantastic charity called Just One Tree, who plant one tree for every pound donated. This will help to reduce deforestation in countries such as Madagascar and Haiti as well as helping to remove carbon dioxide from our atmosphere. After today we will hopefully have raised at least £300 meaning there will be another 300 trees planted, thanks to you and your children!
The eco committee have also purchased some litter picking equipment. We are going to be setting up a system whereby you and your children can borrow the equipment over the weekend and return it to school on the Monday. We really hope that parents will take us up on this offer, to learn about the harmful effects of litter and help reduce it around our local area.
