Interhouse Basketball Launches Summer of Sport

The Interhouse basketball competition took place in glorious sunshine yesterday. With waterbottles and sunhats at the ready, the pupils were raring to go with every child in the school taking part in competitive sporting action. Year teams were split into their respective team colours and every team played against each other. Some fantastic basketball skills were on show with all abilities helping their team to try and succeed. In evidence, too, were lots of our Strand values; co-operation, fairness, respect, courage and commitment. With competition there are obviously winners and losers - so well done to Yellow team who won the Year 3 competition, Red who won Year 4, Blue winning the Year 5 event and Green team coming out victorious in Year 6. Overall winners were Green team who amassed 13 points in total, Blue were second with 10 points and in joint 3rd place were Yellow and Red with 9 points apiece. Well done to all involved and we are already looking forward to our next Interhouse event.
