Inset Day
On Monday the teaching staff took part in two INSET sessions. The first, run by Michelle Wood, provided support for staff to deal with homophobic insults and bullying in ways suitable for Junior school children. Staff discussions were sensitive and it was clear that to make a start we would need to introduce some curriculum activities for the children. These have been planned in for this half term and look at the different make up of families in modern day Britain. The second session, led by Gill Coulton, continued our work on the revised English curriculum, focusing on ideas and techniques to develop children's vocabulary. Each class has been trying out some of the new warm up activities and we are looking forward to seeing lots of ambitious vocabulary in children’s writing
this term.
