Grow a Pound

Over the last few weeks Year 6 have been working hard starting their own businesses for our Grow a Pound initiative. After an initial investment of £1, the children have been tasked with creating innovative businesses in order to grow that money and fund their leavers hoodies. From very well appreciated staffroom bacon sandwiches, to car washes, writing personalised stories, selling fudge on the rec and even medication for poorly bees, we’ve seen it all! So far Year 6 have raised almost £1,000 and they're not finished yet - not only are they funding their hoodies but they're working hard to leave a legacy for future Strandites.
