Fourth Plinth Schools Award Competition 2024
The Fourth Plinth Schools Awards competition gives London’s primary and secondary school students the chance to create artworks inspired by the commissions that have featured on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. There are winner and runner-up prizes for different age categories, as well as prizes for the best work from each borough. There will also be a presentation ceremony at New City Hall and all winning entries will appear in an exhibition in late spring. Entries can be in all art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and digital designs. Both group and individual entries are welcome. This is a chance to really use your imagination, you can create anything! You just need to be inspired by one of the artworks that has sat atop the Fourth Plinth over the past 25 years. Take a look at the Fourth Plinth website to see the currently installation and all the previous commissions. There are some great ones, including a giant thumb! The deadline for entries in by the end of the day on Friday 8th March 2024. Physical entries can be bought in and dropped at the office or you can email a digital copy of the entry to office@strandjuniors.hounslow.sch.uk for the attention of Miss Marron.
