Fiver Challenge
Year 6 have been learning about budgeting and finance. Before half-term they had a visit from Lloyds Bank who did a great presentation, explaining the different services that banks provide. They also spoke a little bit about loans and interest which led us nicely onto this year’s Fiver Challenge. Continuing on from the success of Grow a Pound last year, the children split into groups and were given a loan of £5! The aim is to turn this into £20 per person, with the money raised going into the leavers' hoodie fund. The children have already begun to work on their business proposals and have some very creative ideas to earn their money. Some of their ventures will be taking place in the playground after school next week, including cake sales and live performances! Make sure you have some time to stick around after school to support these budding entrepreneurs.
