Election Fever Hits Strand

General Election fever is sweeping the nation and it's even struck the Year 6 corridor! The children have
been offered the opportunity to compete in a preliminary vote to become the Strand leaders of The
Conservatives, The Labour Party, The Liberal Democrats and The Green Party. Those children brave enough
to grapple with complicated political manifestos have been busy writing speeches highlighting the issues
that they believe are most important, in order to convince their peers to elect them as leader. The speeches
were given this afternoon in a spirited Year 6 Assembly. As is common practice the votes will be counted
late into the night and the winners will be announced on Monday. Then the real work will begin, as our
leaders take off on the campaign trail taking their important issues to the rest of the school. Watch this
