Chess Club Win Gold

Y5 and Y6 chess club members attended the London Chess Classic at the London Olympia on Tuesday and had a brilliant day out! The children were engaged in a number of activities throughout the day, including tuition, a simultaneous chess match and a tournament. Although we weren’t able to break into the top three of the tournament as a school, we came very close and gave a much better account of ourselves than last year. Special mention to Sanjay and Gabriel, who were amongst a very select group of players who won all  their matches and received a gold medal from celebrities Lethal Bizzle, Alex Zane and Edgar Davids who attended the event.
