Candidates Announced for General Election

With a mind to showing democracy in action we will be holding our own General Election later in the term where the children will have the opportunity to vote for the party they want to represent them during the next parliament. Strand is currently a Labour seat and so the new candidate, Archie, will be canvassing hard next week to hold onto his majority. The other candidates are Conservative - Anirudh, Liberal Democrats – Alex L, Green – Nafisa, and UKIP – Florence. They will be preparing their manifesto over the half term holiday before presenting their pledges to the whole school.
