Building Update
The summer has again been busy for Mr Thorne and Mr Wicks juggling the various building projects we had planned. The projects have, as ever, had varying degrees of success. The internal decoration went without a hitch and the communal areas of the new building are looking lovely with their new coat of paint. The cupboards in the Year 3 and 6 corridors are in situ and the teachers have been busy organising resources. The roof replacement is ahead of schedule and the scaffolding is due to be taken down in the next couple of weeks. Playground resurfacing is complete but the rain meant that the protective tarmac around the play equipment could not be completed, hence the red barriers in the back playground. The works are planned for this weekend, weather permitting, so we should have full use of the playground next week. The new library had been delayed because of the roof works but we are aiming for a late September opening. A huge thank you to Friends whose fundraising efforts have made this project possible.
