Autism Awareness Day
We had a very successful day on Monday to celebrate Autism Awareness. The children looked fantastic in their Blue clothes and enjoyed some activities about Autism. Miss Essex did a whole school assembly about Autism and she was helped by Alfie Bebe in Year 4. Alfie made a video and a poster about what it is like to live with Autism. He talked to the children about how Autism affects him in school and answered the children’s questions. We are so very proud of Alfie for being brave enough to share with the school about what it is like to live with Autism. He spoke brilliantly and helped many of the children and staff to understand more about what Autism is. He also shared with us the very powerful message about how Autism is not a disability but a different ability and should be celebrated. Well done Alfie!
Otter class worked really hard to make and sell popcorn after school. They raised a fantastic £78.60 which will go to the National Autistic Society, to help support families living with Autism. Thank you for your support.
