Anti-Bullying Week
This year’s anti-bullying week runs from 17th – 21st November 2014. The focus for this year is ‘Let’s Stop Bullying for All’. It highlights the need to stop the bullying of ALL children and young people – including disabled children and those with special educational needs – children who are significantly more likely to experience bullying in schools and the wider community. The underlying message to all of us is to stand up against bullying by telling someone, if we know it is happening. The new School Council will be telling the children about the week and how they can get involved in a special assembly on Monday afternoon. In addition, each class will be focusing on anti-bullying work in PSHCE lessons and on e-safety in computing sessions respectively. Discussions will be taking place in class council meetings to share any ideas that the children may have. As usual it's ‘Blue Friday’ (Be Lovely And Understanding) on Friday 21st November, where we would encourage as many people as possible to wear blue clothes, as a sign that we are committed to standing up against bullying. Please see a member of the school council if you want to find out more.
