Strand on the Green Junior School

Anti-Bullying Week BLUE Day

Anti-Bullying Week BLUE Day

This week Strand has joined in wholeheartedly with the national anti-bullying focus. Across the school, the children have all been taking part in sessions to raise awareness of bullying and the role we all have in putting a stop to it. The week ended with everyone wearing blue for 'BLUE Day' (Be Lovely and Understanding to Everyone) to show their commitment to stopping bullying. The theme this year is “Choose Respect”. The children discussed the important role they play in being an ‘upstander’ if they know that someone is being bullied. If you are concerned in any way just come in and tell us – chatting with your class teacher is probably the best place to start.
