An Addition to the Strand Team

Last week we appointed a new member to the Strand team for September. Sorcha Kennedy Alexander is a newly qualified teacher who wowed Year 5 with her teaching during her interview. She tackled the tricky area of collecting and presenting data with aplomb and taught the children to create a human bar chart after first working collaboratively collecting, collating and checking their data! Sorcha, a local resident and ex Strandite, who attended Notting Hill and Ealing High School, is really looking forward to her first appointment at Strand back where she began her school career. Sorcha has lots of skills and talents which we are keen to utilize – her background is in science but she has many other strings to her bow including playing the cello, LAMDA Speech and Drama qualifications and a love of sport (she is remembered as a stalwart of Miss Woods’ netball team and a cracking goal defense).
