3M's Assembly
3M got the day off to a great start with their Eid Assembly. They started off telling the story of the Spider and the Cave which explained how the faith of Islam began. Muhammad shared his beautiful copy of the Quran, written in Arabic before going on to explain how muslims break their fast during Ramadan by eating dates. One of the five pillars of Islam is Zakat – giving to charity - and so 3M told us how they would wait to get the things they wanted as they had donated money to charity instead. Linking this to the Strand Values of respect, friendship and cooperation, the assembly ended with a lovely rendition of Count on Me – showing how just important our friends are. What a great message to end a fantastic assembly – Well done 3M. (Report provided by Alfie Bebe 3M)
