How We Behave
5C at Dunwich Beach
When your child joins us at Strand, we will expect them to work and play hard and take part with enthusiasm in the life of the school and its community. We will expect them to co-operate with adults and with other children, show good manners, behave well and abide by our code of practice for behaviour. We expect them to listen, inquire, question, discuss, challenge and reflect. In this way, we hope they will learn tolerance and respect, and celebrate the differences that make each one of us unique. We will expect that they take care of their own belongings, the property of school mates and the school environment. We have a clear Managing Behaviour Policy, which is known and adhered to by all members of the school community.
The Strand Values
We aim to develop the fundamental values and attitudes that are at the core of our philosophy. The values are at the core of everything we do and play a big part in what the children take away from Strand when they leave us in Year 6.
One of our leavers wrote in their Year Book
"At Strand on the Green I have learned many things like friendship, co-operation, sharing, responsibility and, of couse, the usual Maths and English. But what I have learned is much more - some great lessons for the future life that lies ahead of me".
Mia, Year 6
