Think Pads and I Pod Touches Ready for Action

We have been working hard all over half term to set up our new set of 60 ThinkPad laptops. The
machines are now in use in classrooms across the school, each year group having a set of 15 machines, supporting and enhancing learning. The children have all been given their new individual computer logon cards, which are copied in their homework books. Year 3 will get theirs next week. The log on can be used to access our Fronter Virtual Learning Environment from home. Watch out for more details in next week’s issue. Ms Woods has also just finished setting up our set of 15 i Pod Touches which will be seeing their first outing in Year 4 next week as they trial a brilliant app from the Encyclopedia Britannica on Ancient Egypt. We are very excited about the possibilities this new kit opens up for us as we are always looking for ways to stimulate and excite our learners.
