Year 3 Roman Launch

Year 3's Roman launch started with a visit from Emperor Naslundius (aka Mr Naslund), who set the children the challenge of setting up a ‘living museum’, using the skills and knowledge that they gain over the term. During the launch on Thursday they carried out many exciting activities, focusing on how to find out information about the past. The children looked at a variety of evidence to help draw conclusions about the past. They also unearthed pieces of broken pots in sand and had to work as a team to literally put all of the pieces back together! The final activity was using the Museum of London website to link with their trip planned for later in the term. It was so great to see such motivated and enthusiastic learners. The Year 3 team is also very impressed by the amount of research that the children had already done over the holiday to support their learning. Star historians, well done!
