5A's Remembrance Assembly

The children in 5A took responsibility for our Remembrance Day assembly and did a fantastic job. Their poems took inspiration from the poets of World War 1 and reminded us of how important it is to spend a moment thinking of the sacrifices others have made, and are still making, on our behalf. The children spoke with great confidence and clarity and their work moved many of the audience to tears. The whole school then had two minutes silence at 11am, which the children observed brilliantly. Thank you to everyone who bought a poppy, they are still on sale at the office until the end of Friday.
